Description

Malacca, once an ancient port city is steeped in history and legacies of the seafarers, spice merchants, missionaries and the colonial powers that turns to rule it. Influences of the Portuguese, Dutch, and British are left behind and preserved by the existing communities such as Peranakan (straits born Chinese). From the 15th Century, Malacca was once a half way port of spice trading between the West and East. Malacca is a 2 hours ride south of Kuala Lumpur.
